Cutesy Fur

Winter is coming, and it can get quite dreary with the freezing weather especially here in England. I make it a point to add something fun and colorful to my outfit from time to time so not everything's all cold and gray. This season's on-trend outerwear and accessories are full of fluff and there are lots of cute and cuddly pieces to take some inspiration from. Below are some fuzzy finds I've thrown together.

Fuzzy Neon + Neutrals

Graphic print bags and pompom beanies can instantly make any outfit fun. I love a good beanie to keep my head all snug and warm when it's freezing, and to liven up an otherwise boring outfit.

Pastel Fur + Fuzz

Fuzzy shearling and faux fur coats in yummy pastel colors are everywhere this season. Match them with some playful headgear and clutches in unusual shapes.

Fall '14 rtw collections

Picked some AW '14 looks from some shows. Seems like it's gonna be a fuzzy season and we can see a whole lot of cozy, wrapped up goodness like these blanket poncho looks.

 Sacai and Burberry Prorsum

Turtlenecks, long, soft, and slouchy.

Acne

Cozy from head to toe:
 Marc Jacobs

Really lovin' that long slouchy coat look with the belt:
 Marni

Pastel, layered and shaggy:
Chloe

Teddy bear fur and more shagginess in pastels:
 Gucci

Checks and animal print:
Celine

More wrapping and layering:
 Prabal Gurung

Checks and more turtlenecks
 3.1 Phillip Lim

More slouchy sweaters and cozy outerwear:
Isabel Marant

Masculine oversized coats and more fuzzy coats:
Miu Miu

Lastly, I've been looking forward to this show, not only because I love MJ but also because it's the first Marc by Marc Jacobs show since Luella Bartley (an English designer who I absolutely loved for all the pretty and girly things she came up with before her label folded!) joined the team. I must say that I'm not disappointed. I love the graphic moto-inspired details, especially on those jeans, and the über cool styling. And we spot yet another masculine and long oversized coat.

In the news

Amazing news from Loewe. The Madrid-based luxury fashion house is getting a facelift soon with the appointment of its new super cool and super young creative director, the London-based JW Anderson. London's wonder boy will surely cook up something exciting for the Spanish label. I seriously can't wait to see what's in store for Loewe.

The Junya Watanabe's Comme des Garçons for Loewe collection was launched earlier this month. I saw the collection up close in their Madrid stores during the Vogue Fashion's Night Out event. I think the collaboration was a fresh, daring, and spot-on move for Loewe. One of my fave bloggers ever, Susie Lau of Style Bubble wearing some pieces from the retailgasmic collection:

The same night, I also checked out the Anna Bauer "Backstage" exhibition they currently have in the Loewe store on Serrano, which features the fashion photographers backstage Polaroid shots of the biggest names in fashion.

Another thing creating a lot of buzz right now is the new H&M designer collaboration with Isabel Marant. Casual cool fashion from the Parisian designer made affordable, who can resist?? The patterned coat and jacket look awesome.
